Nature

Nature’ follows a17th century tradition used through the federal period in America by several great cabinetmakers, including John and Thomas Seymour of Boston. The sand-burned inlay is created from tiny pieces of wood, which were dipped with tweezers into dishes of hot sand one by one and inlaid by hand to create this beautiful tree of life. The fantasy tree is set against a diagonal pattern of veneered sycamore, which adds movement to the surface of the form as light reflects off the facade. Main Materials: Sycamore Veneer, Maple.
